Info
Taylor Reserve Disc Golf Park is located in Victoria Park. The 9 hole course is one of the closest to a major city in Australia, with the beautiful Perth skyline acting a back drop to many of the holes of this par 29 course. Designed by Andrew Ferguson of DiscGolfPark Australia, the layout offers a great challenge for players of all abilities, but is especially suited for intermediate to advanced players. The park contains a diverse mix of trees, including old growth native eucalypts and large moreton bay figs. Players are required to throw a number of different shots on this course, as long opens holes are mixed with technical tunnel shots. Rollers, low skips shots, big hyzers, flicks and long turnover throws are a necessity if hoping for a low score. The course has high quality Innova DisCatcher Pro baskets and green powder coated tee signs with accurate map info for each hole. An arrow inside each basket directs players to the next tee.

•ProsGreat location. Good mix of lightly wooded and long, open holes that require a variety of shot types.

•ProsFairly well kept lawns on this course although there are sandy spots at times. The wooded holes are great and there is a good mix of these and longer open holes. The course looks out right onto the Perth skyline.
ConsTee pads are quite sandy and marked by two blue wooden blocks that often get buried. The course is completely flat. Perth is known as the "Windy City" and that wind was in full force the day I played. Where this course is lacking in geographical challenges, (hills, slopes etc) the wind conditions and wooded holes make for a challenge. It's a shame alternative tee pads can't be installed to extend the 9 holes to 18.

•ProsNice view and parklands.
ConsCourse feels a bit repetitive - maybe due to the flatness of the park.

•ProsExactly what you'd expect from a well designed inner city course. Good amenities in the area and easy to access.
ConsSomewhat open and flat but they have done the best they can with the land available.
