Looking for more activities after a big day on the slopes? Head over to the Thredbo Golf Course area in winter and Friday Flat in summer, for a fun game of disc golf.

Thredbo is an alpine village and ski resort in the Snowy Mountains of southeastern Australia. The Kosciuszko Express chairlift provides access to ski runs and offers panoramic mountain views year-round. The Mount Kosciuszko summit walk leads to the top of Australia’s highest peak. Wildflowers dot the mountains of Kosciuszko National Park in spring and summer.

Thredbo’s disc golf course features 18 holes nestled between bushland, open fields and eucalypts and is surrounded by stunning mountain views.

    Pros

This is a great course! Beg/int + advanced tees, good signage and baskets well planned into the stick golf course. Tees are mostly adjacent to stick tees, so there is little chance of teeing off in conflict with the other golfers. There are massive elevation changes and nuances that make this challenging, and the big downhill on #9/18 is a lot of fun - 149/194m par 3 respectively, and after throwing my regular 110m driver within 15m from the long tee, I backed off to a fairway driver to repeat off the short tee. Wicked! There is no green fee, and the sports shop provided a card AND pencil! Water & toilets in the sports shop

    Cons

There is a couple of holes with tight line and limited visibility that could use a spotter if you have one
