  • Pros: This is a top shelf course with a good mix of technical and open holes. A beautiful park, and the course takes advantage of the few elevation opportunities available. Hidden gems include an excellent bakery ~300m south of tee#11, as well as the occasional koala sighting in the tall gums Cons: Once the gazebo is completed with water bubbler and bins, the only con for this course is the lack of a toilet, although there's a public toilet block some 700m north, another 900m west, and yet another in the KFC about 300m south of tee#11

  • Pros: Course is interesting and a little quirky. Front 9 great for beginners/intermediate; back 9 more difficult and interesting for intermediate/advanced. Water bubblers on course Course map and further info: https://rad-creations.com/portfolio-items/shenton-college-disc-golf/ Cons: No play in college hours, and no toilets on course then

  • Pros: This is a nice little course in a great caravan park. Make sure you stay for the bird feeding and be around dawn or dusk to try to catch sight of the resident platypus. There are only 8 holes, that increase in length coming down from the top of the hill. With alternating down- and up-hill holes with different tree objects, the holes can have some challenging lines - good for beginners and intermediate players. There's water and toilets on site, and much more if you're staying at the park Cons: There are three baskets very close to each other, and safety with other players around is important. Some chains often come loose from the top frame on some baskets, so snap them back into place when you see them down. The walk between baskets and tees (and if you get off fairways) can be very steep - try to approach a disc on the slope from the base of the slope. There's often wallabies around (this is generally a pro, not a con), so take care when throwing.

  • Pros: How good is it to have a DG course in town? The course has concrete tees, light duty permanent baskets and plenty of signage. There is water, toilets and seating around the course. While not overly long, there are some challenging lines, and good use has been made of available objects Cons: The basket chains are pretty light and it's easy to putt through. There's quite a lot of crossing fairways, which isn't a problem if not many players. Also make sure you throw safely near other park users where seats and gazebos are close. The course map is a little difficult to navigate, and an improved map is on the way. Check in with the police station re discs, the website info is being updated. Numbers on some targets have been destroyed, as have some tee signs

  • Pros: This is a true championship course - it's got it all, and yet it also has permanent shorter tees so all skills levels can enjoy. 18 targets, 36 tees, plenty of elevation, beautifully maintained grounds, toilets. All of this in a picturesque setting of a volcano crater and lakes. The mature trees and topography in the crater also plays wonderful and challenging things with the wind. This course is sooo good Cons: Take water with you, there's none on the course

  • Pros: Liked this course a lot (but didn't play particularly well). The fact that it's a quality course in a small town hours from the big towns is a quaint quirkiness in itself - and the townsfolk are lovely! Good use of available space and obstacles for new/int and advanced tees. All new equipment, well signed, but grass tees. Toilet on-course behind the shed. Cons: Some minor sulphur odour from the lake when the levels are low, but barely noticeable.

  • Pros: This is a great course! Beg/int + advanced tees, good signage and baskets well planned into the stick golf course. Tees are mostly adjacent to stick tees, so there is little chance of teeing off in conflict with the other golfers. There are massive elevation changes and nuances that make this challenging, and the big downhill on #9/18 is a lot of fun - 149/194m par 3 respectively, and after throwing my regular 110m driver within 15m from the long tee, I backed off to a fairway driver to repeat off the short tee. Wicked! There is no green fee, and the sports shop provided a card AND pencil! Water & toilets in the sports shop Cons: There is a couple of holes with tight line and limited visibility that could use a spotter if you have one

  • Pros: What a great course - new equipment, tees (grass) for new/beg + advanced. Good use of space and obstacles, and opportunity to plan out some safari holes if you've got time. The staff there are awesome, and would have had a round with us if they weren't broken. They were keen to hear about other courses, and play this one regularly Cons: A few tees need some work - esp #9 which has the grounds keepers footprints indelibly imprinted (it's really a 'pro' to see him using it so much!)

  • Pros: All new equipment and well maintained park. Good signage and baskets, grass tees. Opportunity for tee variation to make the course more difficult for competitions. Toilets and water available on-course. Fun course. Cons: Mossies are rampant on a couple of holes, so take your bug spray

  • Pros: This is more than a pitch and putt beginner course, with some good length driver holes, some low canopy fairway mids, and one with water behind. Most holes are reasonably open. The grounds are well kept, signs, baskets and grass tees. There are toilets inside behind reception, and the staff are happy to provide a course map, although a phone snap of the main sign will get you where you want to go. Cons: A couple of holes could use some pruning of trees covering the fairway, and #9 is in a people trafficked area with an obscured view from the tee - spotter preferred if you have one

  • Pros: Great beginner/intermediate course with some tight lines, and some open holes. Grass tees well signed, amenities at the complex across the road from #1 tee. Recent tree pruning has kept the course playing well. Cons: Some difficult tee gradients & footing, and one hole (3?) with unsighted basket needs a spotter. Be careful when walking onto stick golf fairways as you are unsighted from their tees for a few holes

  • Pros: Great beginner/intermediate course, with good hole numbers on the baskets, and posted tees (grass). There's some interesting (over the top of the shed/yard) and challenging (through tight line of trees) holes, all on a sightly undulating hill. Water and amenities available, and the park staff were really friendly Cons: Some baskets need attention (chains on #1, cattle have nudged a couple off vertical), and the tight lines through the trees need some pruning. It would be valuable to paint the hole distance on the tee signs. There's a few tee positions that are too close to baskets, and one on another fairway, that will pose issues if there are a number of holes in play

  • Pros: Top beginner/intermediate course. The A pin positions were in play when I went, but I understand the B positions add a level of challenge. It's got all the goodies - concrete tees, signage, toilets, water, shade, and even marked out positions at the practice basket for putting practice. The signage under the baskets for passers-by and the QR Codes on signs are the icing on the cake Cons: Only one suggestion (by no means a con) - if the plan is to have all A positions or all Bs, it would be good to have something on the main sign signifying the positions for the day. (It's not that hard to work it out, so no biggie)

  • Pros: A few open holes, but mostly mix of technical, and water hazards Toilets and water bubbler near hole 1 9 tees with 9 turf tees for 18 league days Great local crew Rated 3.8 Cons: Take your bug spray, but not too bad

  • Pros: Nice use of park with mix of open and technical holes of variable length Good use of available elevation The peninsular hole is exciting with strong winds The local school uses it for school sport, so we should see some talent in a few years Rated 3.8 Cons: Turf tees Limited signage

  • Pros: Nice mix of open and technical among mature trees Tournament 18 hole is awesome with river crossings and huge elevation Toilet and bubblers Rated 3.8 public, 4.5 tournament Cons: Turf tees Some mixed use areas (tourney)

  • Pros: Challenging lines through mature trees Few other park users to conflict with Expandable for championship 18 Beautiful lake vistas Rated 4.0 Cons: Turf tees Limited signage Keep your eyes on the disc flight - grass and water to contend with

  • Pros: Mostly open fairways, but good use of available elevation Cons: Turf tees Little signage Only open weekends Parking and access limited - esp if a nice day for DG, as it will be popular for the other attractions nearby
