Queensland’s first course on the Fraser Coast, this is a beginner friendly, 9 hole course that winds its way through the Tinana Recreation Reserve.

Park near the toilet block/BBQ area on Woongool Road (across from the Paisley Park Early Learning Centre), there is a footpath to your left that crosses the creek. A short walk takes you to the 1st tee, a beautiful little Par 3 that screams “Ace me”! The footpath is well used by other park users (Walkers, Dog walkers, Cyclists, etc.) so as always, be aware of your surroundings and be considerate of other park users! This is a multi-use space, and priority should be given to other park users over disc golfers. Most of the holes play away from the footpath, but there are a few (Holes 1,5 & 8) where the footpath can come into play.

Due to the constraints of the park, namely the narrowness, the footpath, and the fact that there are only 2 bridges crossing the creek, there are a few holes with longer than ideal walks (3>4, 5>6, 8>9).

Enjoy the stroll and maybe take some time to consider your next birdie, or that missed putt from the previous hole!

Hole lengths vary from 55m to 135m, with eight Par 3s and one Par 4, for a Par 28 total. There is plenty of scope to play some safari tees that will lengthen the course for players wanting more of a challenge and want to air out their drivers a bit.  Otherwise, the standard layout can be played quite easily with a putter/midrange/fairway driver combo, and every hole is birdie-able! A good mixture of lengths, uphill/downhill shots, and righty/lefty lines make this a great little course to hone your skills.

    Rating: 4 / 5
    Pros

Beginner friendly length with a challenging mix of forehand and backhand tee shots

    Cons

Close to winding creek at times with thick rough. Need to be very conscious of other park users - particularly the 5th hole.
